Battery and Starting Engine
We check your battery levels and can replace a battery that is starting to fail
We can also service or replace a starter motor
Reasons why these start to break down are:
Typical Wear and Tear
Driving habits such as frequent engine on/off cycles will cause more wear on the starter than a simple trip back and forth to work. Other factors include:
Belts and Hoses
Your car relies on belts and hoses for it to run
Over time they can crack, split or become loose
The belts in a car are the timing belt and fan belt.
Different hoses are in the cars mainly in the cooling and heating systems
Signs that you need a belt or fan replaced are:
Many breakdowns are causd by the engine overheating. The cooling system helps to prevent this. Even in today’s fuel-efficient engines, only around a third heat produced during combustion is converted into energy to drive your car. The other 2/3rds need to be removed by the cooling and exhaust systems.
It comprises of the Radiator and cap, the overflow bottle, thermostat, water pump and cooling fan.
The signs you need it checked are:
A car exhaust system has three essential functions.
Each part has a function, and for a a cars exhaust system to work correctly, all parts must be working
The exhaust parts are:
Signs to get it checked
The fuel system stores and supplies fuel to the engine.
Fuel is stored in the fuel tank and the fuel pump draws fuel from the tank. It then travels through the fuel lines and is delivered it through the fuel filter to the fuel injectors (Older vehicles have carburettors and a throttle). These spray a metered amount of fuel into the engine
